The Narrative

The Soul of the Object

This stunning circular tabletop is a masterpiece of traditional Moroccan Zellige craftsmanship, radiating with a complex geometric star pattern. At its heart is a brilliant sixteen-pointed star in emerald green and azure blue, blossoming outwards into an intricate lattice of smaller stars and polygons in rich reds, earthy browns, and crisp whites. The entire design is framed by a classic border of alternating blue and white diamonds, creating a captivating visual rhythm. Handcrafted in the ancient city of Fez, each individual tile, or 'tessera', has been painstakingly hand-chiseled from glazed terracotta by a master artisan, known as a 'maâlem'. This centuries-old technique, passed down through generations, ensures that no two pieces are exactly alike, giving the tabletop its unique character and soulful imperfection. The tiles are set inverted into a bed of reinforced cement, resulting in a perfectly smooth and durable surface. More than just furniture, this Zellige tabletop is a piece of functional art that brings the vibrant spirit of the Moroccan Medina into your home. It is designed to be placed on a wrought iron base (sold separately) and is suitable for use as a striking dining table, a colorful patio centerpiece, or even as a dramatic wall medallion. Its glazed surface is weather-resistant, making it a timeless addition to both indoor and outdoor spaces.

"Every imperfection tells a story of human hands at work."
